Christian Buecker

Christian Buecker is a partner in our Private Equity and Telecommunications, Media and Technology practices, based in San Franciso.

His work with financial investors lies at the intersection of technology and investing, where he advises a broad set of investors across buyout, hedge fund, growth and venture capital. Christian has conducted more than 100 due diligences, with a focus on high-growth software assets.

He also holds significant experience working with corporate clients in the technology sector. Christian's focuses lie in corporate and business unit strategy, product/market strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and commercial due diligence. Other core competencies include cloud computing, infrastructure software, enterprise applications and data center hardware.

Additionally, he is an expert in emerging technologies, including DevOps, the broader data management stack, artificial intelligence, machine learning and infrastructure technologies, such as containers or serverless. Further, he has deep knowledge of product portfolio management, research and development (R&D) and go-to-market optimization, strategy, cost and organization.

Before joining us in 2010, Christian served as the CEO and CFO of mobile technology startup match2blue. Prior to doing so, he worked elsewhere within the management consulting space, focusing primarily on financial services and utility clients throughout Europe.

He holds a graduate degree in business administration and economics from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. During his studies, he also spent a year at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.

He is a native German speaker, fluent in English and has full professional proficiency in Spanish.
