Within the technology space, Christian's focuses lie in corporate and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and commercial due diligence. Other core competencies include cloud computing, infrastructure software, enterprise applications and e-commerce.
He also holds significant experience in private equity. Within this realm, he has conducted more than 50 due diligences for buyout, hedge fund, growth capital and corporate clients.
Additionally, he is an expert in emerging technologies, including DevOps, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), artificial intelligence, machine learning and new data center technologies, such as containers or serverless. Further, he has deep knowledge of product portfolio management, research and development (R&D) and go-to-market optimization, strategy, cost and organization.
Throughout his tenure at Bain, Christian has published numerous studies within the software, third-party logistics, computers and peripherals, semiconductors and components, IT services, technology and storage spheres.
Before joining the firm in 2010, Christian served as the CEO and CFO of mobile technology startup match2blue. Prior to doing so, he worked elsewhere within the management consulting space, focusing primarily on financial services and utility clients throughout Europe.
Christian holds a graduate degree in business administration and economics from the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. During his studies, he also spent a year at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
He is fluent in German and has full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
