Henning Huenteler is a member of our Sustainability & Responsibility practice, focused on climate strategies, decarbonization, and carbon markets.
Henning advises clients across industries and geographies on their climate change strategies and their engagement in carbon markets. He has worked with major investors and companies in the industrial, consumer goods, and financial services sectors on their Net Zero strategies and decarbonization approaches. Furthermore, he works with clients on investments in nature-based solutions and technologies for carbon removal. He is a deep expert on generating, trading, and procuring carbon credits, and he has supported many of the leading carbon market participants in developing their strategies.
In addition to his client-facing work, Henning supports Bain's internal sustainability strategy, and leads our efforts to decarbonize our operations locally in the Amsterdam office.
Prior to joining Bain, Henning built businesses in global carbon markets for over 10 years. Much of his work has centered on South Asia, China and Latin America.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a master's degree in Nuclear Physics from the University of Muenster, Germany.
