Despite Americans' voracious appetite for WiFi enabled security cameras and smoke detectors, insurers aren’t yet persuaded the devices will make homes any safer. But connected-home technology “changes the underlying need to have insurance,” says Sean O’Neill, a partner with Bain & Company.
