Bain & Company promotes four to partnership in Middle East

Bain & Company – the world’s third-largest traditional management consultancy – has added 94 new members to its partnership ranks following its middle and end-of-year promotion rounds. The elevations were made across 40 of its 58-strong network of offices worldwide, including four in the firm’s Middle Eastern hub of Dubai: Karim Henain, Jürg Kronenberg, Moncef Maghrebi, and Bao-Viet Le.

“We congratulate these next-generation leaders and celebrate their accomplishments, including both extraordinary client results and standout examples of coaching, mentoring and building great teams within our firm,” said Bain & Company’s worldwide managing partner Emmanuel “Manny” Maceda. “We wish all our new partners continued success as they assume their new leadership responsibilities.”

Karim Henain
An active member of the firm’s Advanced Manufacturing and Services Practice, Karim Henain has been with Bain since 2008, building his career on the back of a BSc. in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science from the American University in Cairo. Since joining Bain, Henain has gained expertise in strategy, operating model and performance improvement across a wide range of sectors.

Karim Henain, Jurg Kronenberg, Moncef Maghrebi and Bao-Viet Le - Bain & Company

Jürg Kronenberg
With a focus on strategy, performance improvement, turnarounds, digital and M&A among other capabilities, Jürg Kronenberg has spent altogether 11 years at Bain across two stints – rejoining the firm in Sydney in 2012 before landing in the UAE five years on. Kronenburg has also spent time with the firm in among other places the UK and Switzerland, and like Henain has worked across multiple sectors.

Moncef Maghrebi
A Masters’ graduate of French engineering and science CentraleSupélec and MBA holder from INSEAD, Moncef Maghrebi has altogether two decades of consulting experience under his belt, spent at three of the world’s most prestigious consulting firms. Starting out for close to five years at Arthur D. Little, Maghrebi then spent eight years at McKinsey, before joining Bain in 2015 after another stint at ADL.

Bao-Viet Le
Like Maghrebi and Kronenberg, Bao-Viet Le has bounced around a bit both globally and by firm before landing at Bain in the UAE toward the end of 2017 – albeit with a more than 17 year stint with Accenture under his belt. Also a multi-discipline, cross-sector expert, Le has spent time in among other locales Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Russia and Singapore, the latter during a leadership stint with Capco.

While no women featured among Bain’s publicised partnership promotions in the Middle East region, the consultancy has pointed to a 30 percent female rate among its latest admissions, and highlighted that 60 percent were made beyond its American base (including the seven new partners in Latin and South America) – with over 40 percent from its Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) geography.
