Breaking out of a decade-long phase of flat growth, private equity deal value in Southeast Asia soared 75% in 2017 to $15 billion. Bain & Company research shows the region’s investment ecosystem has developed critical mass and is entering a new phase of growth. We expect deal value over the next five years to total $70 billion or more, double the level of the previous five years.
