Anna Thal Larsen

Anna Thal Larsen is a senior partner at Bain & Company, where she has worked since 2004. She is a leader in the firm's Retail practice. 

Anna has supported multiple CEOs and their boards to transform large retail businesses, reset their investment priorities and improve their performance trajectory. She has worked across a range of retail sectors including grocery, health and beauty, apparel and specialty retail such as electricals and DIY. She holds deep expertise in growth strategy, omnichannel, organization and operating models. More recently, she has led extensive work helping retailers to take action against their Sustainability/climate change commitments, and has co-led Bain's evolving IP in Sustainability in Retail. 

In addition to her client work, Anna participates in Bain's charity Sounding Board program, advising children's charities on issues relating to organization, cost efficiency and strategy. 

Prior to joining Bain, Anna worked for another global consulting firm. She had previously worked for the International Herald Tribune and the European Commission.

Anna holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in European politics from the London School of Economics.
