Paul DiPaola is an advisory partner based in Bain & Company's New York office. He is a core member of the firm's Organization and Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) practices. He is also a leader in the Social & Public Sector practice, with a focus in economic development.
He has more than 30 years of consulting experience across North America, Europe and Asia.
Paul serves clients in a wide range of industries, with a focus on telecommunications services and equipment, IT software and services and industrial products.
Paul has extensive experience in advising clients on global growth strategies and the reengineering of core processes. He has worked on a number of the largest turnarounds in the technology sector. He has also been a pioneer in the development and implementation of leadership supply and talent management strategies for major corporations.
He previously served as the managing partner of Bain Greater China, where he advised MNCs on market entry and growth strategies and JV negotiations. Additionally, he advised local Chinese clients on global growth strategies, as well as innovation, marketing and talent management strategies.
Prior to joining Bain in 1987, he worked as a senior systems analyst for General Electric and was a systems analyst and project lead for Northrop Grumman Corporation.
He holds an MA from University of California Los Angeles and a BA from Stony Brook University.
