BCN Customer CoE, has the vision to lend expertise, speed and competitiveness to Bain’s Pricing, Commercial Excellence, Marketing & Customer Experience projects through co-developing and delivering Pricing products, designing Go-to-Market Strategy Solutions and improve customer experience effectively through client-oriented solutions. In the CoE, we develop products and deliver solutions that help clients identify and fulfil full potential across the entire value chain of sales and customer journey. Also capturing value across – from problem identification, solution designing, and implementation, to capability transfer. What you’ll do
The B2C MMM Project Leader leads a team of Associates and Analysts in delivering client-ready outputs, advanced analytics, and actionable business insights, with a strong focus on Marketing Mix Modeling and media effectiveness measurement. This role is responsible for end-to-end execution of MMM engagements, including data strategy, large-scale data preparation (ETL), exploratory data analysis, econometric/statistical modeling, model validation, and translating results into clear business recommendations. Outputs may include ROI measurement, media attribution insights, scenario planning, budget optimization frameworks, and decision-support tools for marketing investment strategy. The Project Leader brings deep expertise in B2C marketing analytics, media performance measurement, and advanced statistical techniques (e.g., regression modeling, time-series analysis, Bayesian methods), leveraging technologies such as Python, PySpark, SQL, and other large-scale data processing tools. Experience working with media data (digital, offline, performance marketing, brand media) and integrating disparate data sources (sales, media spend, pricing, promotions, macro factors) is critical.
- Day to day work planning and team management. Take responsibility for scoping and delegating work streams; monitor and balance workloads within the team
- Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive the team’s overall output across every stage (from data gathering to final presentation) in a media optimization case
- Brainstorming with the Manager or case team as required on various aspects for IP development and case work which ranges across scope definition, data cleaning, explorations, feature engineering, feature selection, modeling, building prototype, documentation of an algorithm and insights etc.
- Conducting data operations and statistical analysis across these languages: Python, R, DASH SQL server etc.
- Take responsibility for assigning work streams; monitor and balance workloads within the team
- Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations
- Ensure timely, high quality, error-free analysis and output produced by the team
- Drive conversations through analytics, including, but not limited to - Building tools, power point documents, dashboards - Driving insights through data analysis – Story-lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses in the best interest of the client/project
- Communicate data and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire CoE team or case team as required
- Team management responsibility which involves allocating and reviewing work to a team of analysts & associates and conducting performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal
- Consistently provide responsible feedback, coaching and mentoring in all interactions to the group of analysts and associates; recognize team’s learning and development needs Assist in other CoE related activities (e.g., recruiting, marketing, training, etc.)
About you
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 5-8 years of hands-on industry experience in data analytics or consulting with MMM / retail / marketing analytics exposure and strong academic records
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 3-6 years of hands-on industry experience in data analytics or consulting with MMM / retail / marketing analytics exposure and strong academic records
- Candidates should possess excellent analytical, work planning, communication and team skills. Prior experience with project management, team management, coaching and mentoring is important
- Strong skills in Python, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Proficiency and experience in other ETL or analytical tools (SQL, R, SAS, Tableau or Alteryx) will be preferred
