WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join the Product, Practice & Knowledge (PPK) group within Bain’s Performance Improvement (PI) practice. The PI practice helps clients improve productivity, cost, and operational effectiveness by combining deep functional expertise with analytics, digital tools, and scalable ways of working.
In this role, you’ll work closely with global PI Operations Director supporting Solution / Regional practice teams with practice operations, performance management, and commercial execution. You’ll collaborate with PPK leaders and central Bain teams to deliver data, insights, and operational infrastructure that help the practice operate effectively and scale.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Senior Analyst, Practice Operations in the PI practice, you’ll support the day-to-day and forward-looking operations of the practice, working in close partnership with practice leadership. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting, analysis, and operational support, while progressively taking on greater ownership of workstreams over time.
This role requires comfort operating with direction but not step-by-step instruction. You’ll be expected to manage your work thoughtfully, communicate proactively, and ensure deliverables move forward reliably and to expectation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting
- Supporting Practice Director to scope, design, and build reporting and dashboards that provide clear, decision-ready insight into practice performance, priorities, and risks
- Work with Practice Director to translate leadership questions into well-defined reporting requirements, including metrics, logic, cadence, and outputs
- Collaborate with other Bain functions and teams (e.g., Finance, Reporting & Analytics COE) to align data sources and deliver integrated reporting and dashboards
- Continuously improve reporting by simplifying outputs, retiring low-value processes, and ensuring reports drive action rather than volume
High-Impact Analysis
- Support PI leadership with focused, high-impact analyses that inform decisions related to commercial performance, capacity and utilization, affiliate contributions, and priority initiatives
- Structure analytical workstreams with clear objectives, approaches, and timelines, checking in with Practice Director as appropriate
- Execute analysis that provides executive-level insights, implications, and next steps
- Contribute to select ad hoc requests and special projects, balancing rigor, speed, and practical relevance
Business Operations
- Maintain key practice operations processes, including planning, budgeting, communications, and performance tracking, in close partnership with Practice Director
- Use AI, analytics, and technology to help design and implement more automated, scalable, and efficient practice operations
- Identify operational issues or inefficiencies and propose solutions, working with leadership and relevant teams to implement improvements

ABOUT YOU
This role is a hybrid work model and you'll be expected to be in office 3x/week.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in operations, analytics, consulting, or a related environment
- Comfortable managing a portfolio of work with direction, while taking ownership for execution, follow-through, and closure
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to balance multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Analytics & technology
- Strong analytical capabilities and comfort working with data, with the ability to translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and scalable solutions
- Demonstrated proficiency with modern analytics, reporting, and automation tools used to build dashboards, prepare and transform data, and streamline operational workflows (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, advanced Excel)
- Experience with Python, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or AI/LLM-enabled tools is a plus, particularly where used to automate processes or improve reporting and operations
