The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
Who you will work with
This role is based out of the Visualization Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the BCN. Visualization CoE works closely with global Bain case teams, Bain Partners and end-clients providing them data analytics and business intelligence support using advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Azure, AWS, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx etc.). The CoE is a one-stop shop for all case requests related to converting data into insightful visualizations tools (e.g., survey analytics, leadership KPI dashboards, etc).
What you’ll do
- Will work as part of customer success team of one of the Bain products delivering custom insights to users while leading client discovery, solutioning, and demo sessions
- Work with Bain team or end-clients as an expert on specific platform/tool/language (SQL/Python etc.) in individual capacity delivering impactful insights
- Apply knowledge of data analysis languages like SQL, Python etc. to support case teams with analysis of KPIs and automation of processes
- Support client onboarding, training, and implementation in collaboration with internal teams.
- Translate client use cases into product configurations, feasibility and value analysis
- Troubleshoot data/portal issues and serve as liaison between clients and product/engineering
- Ensure a high-quality experience for clients across the full lifecycle
- Responsible for analyzing and automating processing of large and complex datasets and processes
- Ensure that data analysis processes and code are scalable and maintainable; prepare documentation for further reference
- May need to deliver client-facing and Internal leadership presentations
- Work under the guidance of a Team Lead / Team Manager / Sr. Team Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management
- May also take responsibility for assigning work streams to Analysts, monitor workload; Provide tool based technical expertise to the junior team members when required
- May lead client/ case team calls and communicate data, knowledge, insights and actionable next steps to the case team; relay implications to his/her own internal team
About you
- Candidate should be a Graduate/Post-Graduate from top-tier College with strong academic records with 3-4 years of relevant work experience in client-facing roles across consulting, analytics, or SaaS delivery in areas related to Data Management, Business Intelligence or Business Analytics
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis and automations using platforms such as SQL
- Proficient in SQL, Using Databases such as Snowflake, Redshift writing queries to solve complex business use cases, and Ticketing systems like Zendesk, JIRA etc.
- Advanced skills in Excel modeling and slide-making (consulting quality)
- Hands-on experience in data handling and complex data analysis workstreams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders
- Concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Market Research is strongly preferred
- Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
- Should be a motivated and collaborative team player, who is a role-model and at-cause individual within the team and office
Good to Have:
- Experience with BI tools such as PowerBI
- Experience with Python is a plus
- Understanding of database architecture and Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing principles
- Candidates with advanced certifications in Snowflake will be preferred
