Who are we
We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Associate – Full Stack AI Engineer to join Bain's Bain Capability Network - Data Business COE. You will be a core contributor building the next generation of AI-powered products and intelligent workflows that transform how Bain's global consulting teams work.
This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI development and full stack engineering. You will work alongside senior engineers, data scientists, and consulting teams to rapidly prototype and scale AI solutions — from LLM-powered applications to agentic systems — in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
What you’ll do
- Build and integrate LLM-powered features: RAG pipelines, AI agents, and intelligent workflows
- Develop GenAI capabilities including prompt engineering, embeddings, memory systems, and evaluation
- Implement backend services in Python (FastAPI) to support AI application
- Collaborate on designing multi-agent architectures and orchestration systems
- Develop responsive, high-quality frontend interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices to power AI applications
- Ensure production-quality, well-tested, maintainable code across the stack
- Rapidly prototype AI-powered tools and MVPs to validate ideas with consulting teams
- Iterate quickly on feedback and help scale successful prototypes to production
- Experiment with emerging AI frameworks, models, and techniques
- Work closely with consulting teams and domain experts to understand business problems
- Partner with senior engineers and architects to align on technical direction.
- Participate in agile delivery cycles, sprint planning, and technical reviews
- Document solutions and share learnings across global engineering teams
About you
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in Python, Fast API, Flask, React, Typescript, Gen AI & LLM Ecosystems.
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- LLMOps, evaluation frameworks, and AI observability tooling
- Multi-agent systems and AI orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong ownership mentality — you ship things and take pride in quality
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating loosely defined problems into working solutions
- Collaborative team player who communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences
- Curious and proactive learner who stays current with the AI/GenAI landscape
- Entrepreneurial energy with a bias for action and pragmatic problem-solving
