WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Research and Data Services (RDS) team, a core part of Bain’s knowledge ecosystem. The team partners directly with consulting teams across industries to provide data, insights, and research that support case work, proposals, and intellectual property development.
The team supports multiple industry verticals, including Private Equity, Energy & Natural Resources, and Financial Services, offering broad exposure to different business topics and problem-solving contexts.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Research Analyst, you will be supporting consulting teams by delivering high-quality secondary (desk) research in a fast-paced environment. You will work across a wide range of topics and industries, requiring adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Conduct secondary (desk) research to support case teams, proposals, and internal projects
- Identify and leverage appropriate data sources, tools, and methodologies to answer business questions
- Synthesize findings into clear, structured outputs for internal stakeholders
- Operate research processes efficiently, ensuring high quality and timely delivery
- Manage multiple requests simultaneously, prioritizing based on urgency and impact
- Collaborate closely with consulting teams, acting with a strong client-service mindset
- Contribute to internal knowledge building and support the development of research assets
ABOUT YOU
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree completed
- 2+ years of experience in secondary (desk) research, business research, or similar roles
- Basic knowledge of corporate finance concepts
- Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
- Client-service mindset with strong communication skills
- Fluent English
Nice to Have (can be trained):
- Exposure to industries such as Private Equity, Energy, Infrastructure, Agribusiness, Technology, Telecom, Software, or Financial Services
- Experience in dynamic, high-performance environments
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or advanced research platforms

WORKING MODEL
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week.
