Chris Harrop is a member of our Customer, Telecommunications, Media and Technology, and Change Management and Implementation practices

Over nearly three decades with us, Chris has advised clients across industries, especially in service-oriented sectors, such as telecommunications, utilities and transportation. He has specialized in projects addressing growth strategy, customer experience improvement, and broad-based transformational change.

His key engagements have included:

  • Helping a major telecommunications company increase its customer NPS® by almost 50 points;
  • Supporting a growth strategy for an insurgent consumer products brand, doubling revenues over a two-year period.

In addition to his client work, Chris is a member of our global partner mentoring team and Social Impact practice. He is also a regular transformation program coach. 

He began his firm tenure in San Francisco in 1993 and moved to Australia in 1998. He previously spent seven years as the Asia-Pacific head of our Telecommunications practice.

Prior to joining us, Chris held several sales and marketing roles in the computer and consumer products industries.

He earned an MBA, with honours, from IMD (Switzerland) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management, with First-class honours, from Otago University (New Zealand).

A passionate advocate for early childhood development, Chris is a board member for Social Ventures Australia and Goodstart Early Learning. He also co-founded Restacking the Odds, which helps young children experiencing disadvantage.

Chris lives with his wife and two children in Melbourne but, as a proud New Zealander, continues to be a lifelong supporter of the All Blacks.
