Jim Wininger is a partner based in Bain & Company's Atlanta office. He is an expert in the firm's Utilities and Alternative Energy, Aerospace & Defense, Mergers & Acquisitions and Divestitures practices.
Jim has over 15 years of management consulting experience, working with senior executives and management teams to address their most pressing strategic issues.
Jim advises clients on a range of issues, including corporate growth strategy, business unit strategy, organizational redesign and performance improvement, with particularly deep expertise in corporate portfolio strategy. In this sphere, he focuses on the execution of separations and carve-outs.
Prior to joining Bain in 2009, Jim worked for another global consulting firm.
Jim earned an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, where he received the William Michael Shermet Award. He also holds a BA in economics and history from Vanderbilt University.
