Yashraj Erande is a senior partner and leads our Financial Services practice in India.
He brings nearly 20 years of experience in financial services consulting, advising founders, CEOs and boards of financial institutions and fintechs. His expertise spans banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), fintech lenders and payments businesses. He has considerable experience building businesses from startup to at-scale enterprise, driving business transformation, creating high-performance teams and raising capital.
His work focuses on AI transformation, corporate and business unit strategy, digital and platform transformation, and performance improvement for financial services firms navigating rapid technological and regulatory change.
Prior to joining Bain, Yashraj founded a unicorn lending fintech in India. He also worked at another leading global consultancy, where he led the India Financial Institutions practice and co-built the firm's Global Fintech practice.
Yashraj holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a degree in computer engineering from Mumbai University. In 2018, he was named to the Economic Times “40 Under 40” list and is recognized among the top 1% of Distinguished Alumni of the Indian School of Business.
