How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

As I learned more about Bain and met Princeton alums who had joined the firm, it became very evident that the firm was the best cultural fit for me. Specifically, I very much enjoyed how employees of the firm spoke about mentorship and coaching, the importance of work/life balance, and the team-first ethos that they felt Bain lived up to. Plus, everyone I spoke with seemed to genuinely enjoy their job, so this seemed like a promising sign.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

I like that we don’t work on simple or straightforward problems. Our clients partner with us to help solve their most pressing and complex challenges, and I personally get a lot of energy from cases that don’t have an obvious or simple answer. In addition to working through the complexities of given topics, our focus on actionable and measurable results ensure that our findings and recommendations persist after our work is finished.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

Working at Bain unlocks a range of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Since joining the firm in 2012, I’ve taken part in a six month transfer to our Melbourne, Australia office, took a leave of absence to work at a tech startup in NYC, and took advantage of Bain’s business school sponsorship program to take two years off and pursue my MBA. From a case standpoint, the ability to split my time between our private equity group and strategy practices have allowed me to focus on the types of projects that energize me, while still getting to learn across a range of client and case contexts.
