WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Customer is the Bain Practice responsible for defining the intellectual property, marketing and commercializing Bain’s approach to Customer strategy, transformation, and operations, including Marketing, Customer Experience and B2B Commercial Excellence Solutions. This role is within the B2C Brand, Marketing, and Sales solution, which spans all the capabilities needed for a B2C company to sustain organic growth, including brand strategy and positioning, marketing execution excellence, go-to-market strategy, and pricing & promotions.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The B2C Brand, Marketing, and Sales (BMS) Solution Consultant is responsible for building out and innovating on the approaches, collateral, and tool(s) required to grow Bain’s BMS Products and meet client needs in this area. The Solution Consultant will develop, manage and commercialize Bain’s product offerings in this domain to grow and evolve our offerings in line with our client’s needs. The Solution Consultant will do so in collaboration with case teams, clients, capability and industry teams.
- Support product strategy and evolution for B2C Brand & Marketing solution offerings, working closely with practice leadership and solution leads to refine priorities and roadmap
- Support the execution of priority initiatives, in collaboration with product leads and experts.
- Develop and maintain distinctive IP and points of view, drawing on case learnings, research, data analysis, and expert input; ensure insights are practical, relevant, and clearly linked to client needs
- Support priority practice forums, such as major practice meetings, summits, or innovation workstreams, from content development through execution.
- Enable commercialization of products and IP, including building and updating sales collateral (e.g., pitch materials, briefs, examples, demos) and supporting priority proposals and client development efforts
- Provide support to Bain case teams during selling and delivery by connecting teams to relevant materials, IP, or experts. For specific topics, provide proposal and case start up support, including preparing materials and attending meetings to hear the voice of the customer.
- Capture and synthesize frontline feedback from cases, proposals, and client interactions to inform continuous improvement of products, tools, and messaging.
- Collaborate with other teams in the Bain ecosystem (e.g., knowledge management, marketing, commercial, FRWD experts) to codify learnings, develop thought leadership assets, and support case teams
- Coach and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional development and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented team culture.
ABOUT YOU
Required
- 5-8 years experience + undergrad, or 4-5 years experience with MBA/Master’s
- Current or recent consulting experience, at Bain or the equivalent at another consulting company
Preferred
- Experience across relevant topics such as: Brand Strategy, Marketing, Digital Commerce, Product Management, Product Design, ideally from prior consulting or industry experience
- Demonstrated track record of technical affinity and familiarity with common GenAI tools and technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, building custom GPTs)
Experience in pricing topics, such as base price strategy, promotional pricing, markdown strategy, ideally from consulting or industry experience.
