WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a core member of the MarTech team within Digital Marketing, you will help shape and deliver the product vision and roadmap for both Cvent (40%) and Marketo (40%), and other cross-stack initiatives (20%). You’ll act as a strategic partner to marketers executing Bain's client events, digital mailings and broader programs, translating business needs into scalable solutions and representing the global “voice of the user” across platforms.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand program needs, and with both internal and external technical terms to deliver well-defined, high-impact improvements. This role sits at the center of a fast-evolving MarTech stack, with opportunties to influence how Bain's tools support both the customer experience and operational excellence.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Senior Business Analyst – MarTech, you will play a key role in unlocking the value of Bain’s marketing technology platforms. This role primarily focused on our event management (Cvent) and marketing automation (Marketo) platforms, which support Bain's client outreach, engagement, and data flow. You'll also provide support across Bain's broader MarTech stack.
You’ll partner with stakeholders across teams such as Marketing Events, Digital Mailings, Practice & Account Marketing, and Market Reputation to define requirements, streamline workflows, and optimize platforms to enhance client experiences and power data-driven decisions. In addition, you'll support broader MarTech initiatives by helping teams deliver against Bain's MarTech roadmap.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The ideal candidate is passionate about the intersection of business, marketing, and technology and is eager to grow their product management skillset across a diverse MarTech landscape.
You will own the backlog and roadmap for Cvent and Marketo, managing intake and translating stakeholder needs into impactful enhancements. As a subject matter expert, you’ll help shape how both platforms are used to power marekting programs and insights. You will champion test-and-learn approaches, using data to inform decisions and define success metrics.
You will also partner with teams on additional MarTech initatives, helping shape discovery, requirements, and solution decisions in alignment with Bain's broader MarTech strategy.
Customer & stakeholder engagement
- Serve as the primary business analyst for Cvent and Marketo, maintaining a roadmap aligned with marketing priorities
- Partner with stakeholders across Marketing and the broader firm, translating user needs into enhancements that deliver measurable business value
- Monitor performance metrics and synthesize feedback into actionable product goals
- Ensure platforms support scalable, efficient workflows (e.g., automating repetitive tasks, enabling personalization, and improving campaign tracking)
- Support broader MarTech initiatives, helping teams assess needs and move work forward effectively
Technical capability delivery
- Lead solution definition and planning, owning user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Partner with IT and vendors through planning, refinement, and testing cycles
- Sign off on deliverables to ensure alignment with business needs
- Partner closely with Salesforce and Analytics teams to align roadmaps and ensure strong integrations and data flow
- Collaborate with other technical teams to support effective integration across the broader MarTech stack
Change management & platform enablement
- Lead rollout efforts for new features or workflows across systems
- Act as an partner and enabler to end users, equipping them to adopt and maximize new capabilities
- Advocate for best practices in platform usage, scalability, and data consistency
ABOUT YOU
- Associate's/Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 5+ years of professional experience required; high performance standards as demonstrated by academic or previous job experience
- 3+ years in a product strategy or requirements role working with technical teams
- Strong understanding of MarTech systems is preferred; experience with marketing automation (Marketo) and/or event technology platforms (Cvent) is a plus
- Experience with agile development and writing user stories; Product Owner Certification, familiarity with Jira/Confluence and a strong grounding in HTML are a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with teams to develop solutions to complex problems
- Comfort building consensus and developing working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners across all levels of the organization
- Experience within a professional services environment is a plus. Marketing experience is not required, but you should be interested in digital marketing and excited by the opportunity to partner across the marketing organization to deliver a premium MarTech stack.
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week with limited travel as needed.
