Marc Lino

Marc Lino is a member of Bain's Private Equity practice, where he leads our global Sustainability efforts.

In this capacity, Marc works with clients across the investing value chain — from fundraising and strategy through diligence and ownership, and eventual exit — to help them achieve their sustainability objectives and capture economic returns.

Based in the Middle East, Marc also advises many of the region's leading sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors. Since relocating to the Gulf, he has partnered with these clients across the full arc of their investing activity — strategy, diligence, and portfolio value creation — pairing Bain's global expertise with deep local relationships.

Marc has over 20 years of consulting experience and is a recognized expert on business services and technology. He advises private equity firms and financial investors on sustainability across the investment life cycle, with a particular focus on portfolio value creation. He has extensive experience leading commercial and operational diligence engagements, working alongside portfolio company management teams to drive value creation strategies, and advising clients on strategy, M&A, full potential, and enterprise transformation, particularly in business services and technology. 

Beyond Bain, Marc has co-founded, with a fellow Stern alum, Billy's Bakery — a multi-channel retail bakery in New York City. He also co-founded Candacraig House, an exclusive use venue in the Scottish Highlands.
