WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of Bain’s global Finance team, working closely with colleagues across regions to support the timely and accurate processing of employee expense reports. As an Associate on the Travel & Expense (T&E) team, you’ll collaborate with internal partners, including regional finance leads and operations teams, to uphold policy compliance and deliver exceptional service. This is a highly collaborative role where teamwork and communication are key to ensuring smooth and efficient expense management.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Associate, Global Travel & Expense plays a key role in supporting the T&E team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee expense reports. This role is responsible for upholding compliance with company policies, managing assigned tasks efficiently, collaborating with team members, and contributing to the team's overall objectives and service standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Expense Review & Compliance
- Review employee expense submissions for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company travel and expense policies. Ensure timely and accurate processing with proper documentation.
Team Collaboration
- Partner with team members (regional / global) to balance workloads, address volume fluctuations, and support shared goals for timely service delivery.
Issue Identification & Escalation
- Identify unusual trends, policy deviations, or nonstandard items. Escalate concerns appropriately and propose clarifications or exceptions requiring additional approval.
Employee Support & Service
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve system-related issues in a timely and professional manner, delivering high-quality customer service and guidance.
ABOUT YOU
Knowledge
- Basic understanding of Travel & Expense (T&E) processes and policy compliance
- Familiarity with expense systems
- Awareness of general finance, accounts payable, or administrative workflows
- Understanding of documentation requirements for expense processing
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and entering data
- Good time management and organizational skills to meet processing deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication for handling employee queries professionally
- Ability to follow structured procedures and escalate issues when needed
- Basic proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook

- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to systems and policy changes

- Handle repetitive tasks with consistency and reliability

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
This is a temporary role with a 12 month duration and hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence at least 3 days per week.
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Dallas, Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $51,000 - $61,250. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
