WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This full-time role is based in our Mexico City office and is part of the PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT CENTRE OF EXPERTISE (PI COE) within Bain Capability Network. This global team supports Bain consulting teams with cost reduction and operational optimization efforts across Procurement, Supply Chain, and broader Cost Transformation.
As a PROJECT LEADER, you’ll join the Procurement team within PI and work closely with Bain consultants and subject matter experts to drive client solutions and support business development.


WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll lead teams of Associates and Analysts to deliver impactful, client-ready materials focused on procurement diagnostics and cost optimization. You’ll also contribute to internal Bain knowledge-building and capability development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own delivery of Procurement-related Performance Improvement projects, including:

    • Spend analysis, contract review, supplier segmentation, and sourcing strategies

    • Procurement benchmarking and savings initiative design

  • Interpret large data sets using ERP and financial systems to uncover value opportunities

  • Guide the development of deliverables using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Tableau, and PowerBI

  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders

  • Drive structured problem solving and high-quality storytelling

  • Collaborate across global teams for integrated knowledge sharing

  • Provide mentorship and regular feedback to team members

  • Manage team resourcing and proactively address capacity issues



ABOUT YOU

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree with strong academic performance

  • Relevant experience:

    • Undergraduate: 5–8 years

    • Postgraduate: 3–6 years

  • Background in Procurement, Cost Transformation, Supply Chain, or relevant consulting roles

  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; working knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI; Python or AI tools are a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders

  • Comfortable working onsite in the office four days a week in Mexico City

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
