Mark's work centers on driving capability, technology, and cost transformation for his clients, from initial strategic planning through to program orchestration and change management. He has significant experience in enabling organizations to simultaneously improve financial sustainability and drive operational excellence. Mark has extensive experience in global business services and sourcing.
Mark's recent higher education and public sector client engagements include the development of a full potential vision, strategy, and implementation roadmap for a leading public research university, the design and initial implementation of a operational excellence program for a top liberal arts college, and the development and delivery of a large government agency’s technology and capability transformation, which yielded +$2.5B in savings and was delivered on-time and under budget. Recent corporate client results include the conception and delivery of a leading consumer products company’s global business services transformation, which resulted in meaningful improvement in performance, digitalization, and cost position for the company.
Mark has worked in our New York, London, and Washington D.C. offices, and currently lives in Washington D.C. with his wife and three children.
Prior to joining Bain, Mark worked in M&A investment banking in Los Angeles. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School, where he was granted the R.C. Kopf Fellowship and Shuchman-Hulbert Memorial Award in Marketing. He also earned a B.A. from Amherst College.
