Companies Without a Tech Plan in M&A Deals Face Higher IT Costs

Research from Bain & Company says that failing to plan before an acquisition or merger can result in duplicate applications and systems that drive up operating costs, according to a new report.

"Companies often invest in a commercial, operational and financial due diligence, but often do not want to invest in an appropriate technology diligence," said Sachin Shah, a London-based partner at Bain who co-wrote the report.
