WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Pyxis is Bain’s competitive intelligence division. Pyxis leverages the broadest and most granular consumer datasets available in the market to generate unrivalled competitive intelligence to our clients. Pyxis has seen tremendous growth since being acquired by Bain in 2019 (~9x revenue growth from 2019-2022) and is looking to continue its impressive growth.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Support the Pyxis Data Operations organization through data analysis, project management, and client communication as the internal leader for strategic client relationships.

Responsibility Breakdown:

• Data analysis & cleaning; working with ML models and leveraging data science techniques - (50%)
• Client delivery of data / Technical Communication - (25%)
• General client correspondence / Meetings / calls - (15%)
• Internal team upskilling and process improvement - (10%)

Essential Functions:

• Execution of client deliveries and ownership of the technical portions of the client relationship 
• Coordination and project management across teams to orchestrate QA/QC of client deliveries
• Improvement of delivery process through improved QA/QC tools, process, and automation 
• Data analysis of quality gaps and root cause analysis of sales trend breaks
• Collaborate with Commercial team on all client communications

ABOUT YOU

Required

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis or related field
• 3-5+ years of data analysis experience
• Experience and comfort in a client-facing capacity
• High level of proficiency in SQL for data analysis including experience with basic regex expressions
• Intermediate Python experience, familiarity with GitHub and software development principles
• Proficiency in summarizing analysis and making key business recommendations using data
• Familiar with foundational data science concepts

Preferred

• Basic familiarity with common machine learning topics, NLP knowledge 
• Experience working in a continuous improvement environment, using data to define processes that continually enhance models and data quality
• Experience working with consumer panel and / or market measurement data preferred
