Consulting is a job that comes with great responsibility and impact. Our advice can influence the direction a company takes, having a long-lasting impact on the overall business scenario. That is both hugely energizing and challenging. By advising businesses across industries, geographies and capabilities, consultants develop strong business acumen. This is why consulting attracts the smartest minds, with the ability to synthesize multidimensional issues through intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, creativity and practicality.
For prospective applicants, my advice is to be honest about why you want this job. Analytical ability, leadership and team skills are must-haves. Beyond these, motivation, a curious mind, willingness to roll up your sleeves, and ability to work with ambiguity are key to your success here.
"We enjoy coming to work every day. We are collaborative and effective at teaming for success."
Previously, I worked as a consultant focused on banking process offshoring, and as an entrepreneur through a start-up in New York in the data and information mapping space.
I hold an MBA in finance from the Wharton School and an MS from Washington University.
I love exploring new places. Returning to India after 12 years, I spend most of my time on weekends doing short trips with the kids, trying out new restaurants, and checking out new buildings and the local bazaars. They all help me understand the "new" India!
