Syed Ali

Syed Ali is a member of our Enterprise Technology, Private Equity, and Telecommuncations, Media, and Technology (TMT) practices. He is also the co-head of our global cybersecurity advisory services.

With nearly 30 years of management and technology consulting experience, including over 15 years with us, Syed advises clients across a wide range of cybersecurity and enterprise technology topics. His cybersecurity work spans three areas: first, developing go-to-market, M&A, and execution strategies for B2B vendors; second, leading due diligence on hundreds of cybersecurity companies, supporting over $65 billion in transactions, for private equity firms, institutional investors, and strategic buyers; and third, guiding cybersecurity maturity assessments and strategic planning for boards and senior executives across healthcare, TMT, retail, financial services, and energy. 

Additionally, Syed has experience in Agile transformation (particularly DevOps and DevSecOps), digital strategy, cloud migration and on-premise infrastructure optimization, enterprise architecture, and application development.

Prior to joining us, he was a principal for another top consulting firm.

Syed holds an M.S. in Information Technology from Northwestern University and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University.
