We work in or out of the office as suits the situation, the team, your growth, and the client. We want you to be able to do your very best work, and we want clients to achieve the very best results. So far, we’ve done that by building a culture of high mutual trust and affinity, where being a "Bainie" means something, even decades after you leave, and where clients are wowed by how well we work together.
Achieving all that means spending time side by side with teammates and clients to tackle challenges and spark ideas. At times, we use remote flexibility thoughtfully to stay efficient. We believe in innovation, data, and location as tools for delivering better client results.
Hybrid is a tool that helps us live our principles
We know from more than 50 years of work that there are a few keys to outstanding client results. We operate under a home office model of bigger, fewer hubs where everyone can experience and contribute to Bain’s exceptional culture. We also have a culture of apprenticeship where you'll learn from leaders passionate about paying it forward. Collaboration thrives when we’re collocating—white-boarding ideas and solving problems, whether in the office, on-site with clients, or occasionally working remotely.
Our hybrid work philosophy
You can live many careers at Bain and the amount in-office versus remote work is always a question of two things: what will create the best results for clients, and what will help you have a fulfilling and sustainable career?
You’ll work from one of our many home offices where you'll get face time with mentors and form connections with peers over multiple projects.
You'll work alongside a refreshingly diverse mix of people in different areas. We’re one team, and when you work here, you’ll feel it.
You’ll learn directly from those you work with, who'll coach you and ensure you are supported. In time, you will guide others.
Our guiding principles ensure you'll always know what's best for you, the client, and Bain, and as a result, whether to work remotely or in-person.
We have an in house team of experts who study how, where, and when people do their best work. When they produce new findings, we adapt.
Global travel and connection
Back to our principles: we travel when it helps us drive the best results for clients. If you prefer travel, you’ll likely have opportunities to do so. If you work directly with clients, you’ll collaborate with teammates in the office or on-site with a client to build momentum and tackle challenges together. We also have programs that let you work out of other offices, and if life takes you in a new direction and you need to relocate, we'll always do our best to support you.
