WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join the Bain Executive Network (BEN), a global capability supporting Bain’s clients through executive coaching, leadership advisory, and executive talent services. BEN brings together expertise in strategy consulting, executive search, executive coaching, and talent advisory to help strengthen leadership teams and create differentiated client impact.
You’ll report to the Global Head of Strategy & Operations and work closely with colleagues across BEN, as well as Product, Technology, Operations, and other teams across Bain.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As Senior Specialist, Strategy & Operations, you’ll help turn BEN’s global strategic priorities into disciplined execution. This is a full-time temporary opportunity expected to span 12+ months. You’ll support core operational processes, reporting, business analytics, systems, project management, and continuous improvement, creating leverage for senior leadership through proactive execution, sound judgment, and operational excellence.
Approximately 70–80% of your role will focus on global Strategy & Operations, with approximately 20–30% supporting the Americas client-facing BEN team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Strategy and operations
- Support the Global Head of Strategy & Operations in executing BEN’s annual operational roadmap and strategic priorities.
- Translate strategic priorities into structured workplans, governance processes, and measurable deliverables in alignment with your supervisor.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, monitor progress, anticipate risks, resolve operational issues, and help ensure successful delivery.
- Escalate operational issues when needed, recommend potential paths to resolution, and execute agreed next steps.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, increase scalability, and strengthen BEN’s operating model.
Client-facing operations
- Serve as an operational resource for the Americas BEN client-facing team, developing materials for executives in transition, including CVs, board biographies, relevant search consultant information, and job specifications.
- Compile executive calibration profiles and develop recruiter materials in PowerPoint or Excel for selected talent advisory situations.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop and maintain intellectual property and support materials for BEN executives and Bain clients, including competitor analysis, search firm information, and leadership changes.
- Promote consistent data quality, reporting standards, and knowledge sharing across Client-Facing Operations and Global Strategy & Operations.
Executive communications and leadership support
- Develop executive-ready presentations, analyses, leadership updates, and operational communications with guidance from the Global Head of Strategy & Operations.
- Turn operational data and project updates into clear, structured materials tailored to different audiences.
- Draft and refine executive materials with increasing independence, anticipating stakeholder questions and recommending improvements.
- Support leadership meetings, planning cycles, and strategic initiatives through rigorous analysis and high-quality execution.
Data, reporting, and business insights
- Support BEN’s global reporting processes, helping deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting for BEN leadership and senior Bain stakeholders.
- Coordinate annual and mid-year reporting, including data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and preparation of executive-ready materials.
- Coordinate data governance, reporting standards, and data quality across BEN systems and reporting processes.
- Develop analyses, dashboards, and business insights to inform leadership discussions.
- Manage recurring commercial impact reporting, KPI tracking, executive landing reporting, and other operational analyses.
Systems, technology, and operational excellence
- Coordinate BEN’s core systems and reporting platforms, including Avature and Cortex, supporting effective adoption and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product, Technology, and Operations teams on system enhancements, change management, and user adoption.
- Recommend improvements to processes, governance standards, and documentation to strengthen business continuity, resilience, and scale.
- Champion AI-enabled solutions and automation opportunities that improve efficiency, reporting quality, and team effectiveness.
Team capability
- Build team capability through mentoring, knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and sharing best practices.
- Encourage adoption of AI tools, technology, and improved ways of working while contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and continuous-improvement culture.
ABOUT YOU
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- You bring 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategy and operations, business operations, consulting, executive search, project management, or a comparable analytical environment.
- You have strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills and can manage multiple priorities at the same time.
- You communicate clearly in writing and verbally and have experience developing executive-ready analyses and presentations.
- You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and are comfortable using collaboration tools.
- You can influence, coach, and build trusted relationships without formal authority.
- You are collaborative, proactive, accountable, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment and bring curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least one day per week.

US Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $75,750 - $90,750
- In Georgia, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $72,000 - $86,500
- Placement within the applicable range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation.

Compensation
The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- Base salary in the annualized full-time range of $78,750 - $94,500. Placement within this range will vary based on experience, education, licensure/certifications, and skill level.
- Annual discretionary performance bonus.
- Annual employer retirement program contribution of 10% of eligible compensation (prior year base salary and performance bonus received), up to the annual government-allowable limit. Begins accruing on day one and is paid to active employees at end of February each year.
