Bain & Company Named as a “Leader” in IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Employee Experience Consulting Services 2026 Vendor Assessment

BOSTON–November 5, 2026–Bain & Company has been recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Employee Experience Consulting Services 2026 Vendor Assessment (August 2026, IDC #US54788126). The IDC MarketScape highlights that “Bain & Company (Bain) approaches employee experience and organizational change consulting through a lens of pragmatic execution, behavioral science, and economic outcomes drivers.” It adds that “Bain anchors its people and organization (P&O) practice in the philosophy that organizational effectiveness directly drives employee engagement and engagement drives performance.”

The assessment provides a comprehensive analysis of Bain's capabilities, expertise, and offerings in the employee experience consulting services market.

The IDC MarketScape also notes that “Bain customers hold the firm in high regard for its depth of expertise in behavioral science and its ability to translate that expertise into strategic guidance.” It adds that “Customers noted that Bain’s accelerating use of embedded AI discovery and coaching capabilities makes it easy to partner with the firm’s consultants and develop a flow of transformation without disrupting the flow of ongoing operations.”

According to the IDC MarketScape, “Bain relies on proprietary, research-driven methodologies with EX rooted in Employee Net Promoter for People (eNPS) and Results360, both of which are supplemented by its specialized digital and AI consulting engine — Bain Vector.”

The IDC MarketScape adds that Bain’s “Employee Experience and eNPS go beyond comprehensive and static annual satisfaction surveys to deploy a proprietary framework that taps into continuous employee listening” and “Behavior and Culture Change treats culture as behavior at scale, helping clients identify the top critical impact behaviors needed to improve outcomes, delivery, and operational value.”

The IDC MarketScape notes that Bain’s “Organizational Design and Operating Models transform structures to reduce corporate complexity and accelerate decision-making,” and “Talent Strategy and Leadership Team Effectiveness help companies inventory, develop, and retain high-performing talent by evaluating and coaching executive leadership teams to improve governance and organizational speed.”

The IDC MarketScape adds that “Companies should consider working with Bain when their goals focus on behavior change, organizational operational design, the financial link between employees and customers, and employee experience as a driver of business outcomes.”

According to the IDC MarketScape, “Bain's Generative AI Workforce Impact Explorer leverages Bain's proprietary analytical tools to audit a client's internal workforce and map which specific HR and operational tasks consume disproportionate capacity to create an objective blueprint for AI investment. AI-Enabled Listening and Sentiment Mapping taps into natural language processing to synthesize qualitative text feedback from eNPS platforms and pulse surveys and provide clear, actionable behavioral trends based on real-time tracking of company morale.” It notes that “Bain's pricing projects a premium, high-value investment that is structured to tightly align the client's cost of engagement with realized performance outcomes.”

“Employee experience has become a defining driver of business performance — especially as companies navigate continuous disruption, new ways of working, and the rapid adoption of AI,” said John Hazan, a Bain partner and leader in the firm’s Talent Solution. “At Bain, we focus on the moments, behaviors, systems, and leadership actions that shape how people experience work every day. By combining continuous listening, behavioral science, digital tools, and a relentless focus on outcomes, we help clients build organizations where people are more engaged, change is more sustainable, and performance improves.”
