What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?
Practicing case interviews is incredibly important—they’re a unique format, and the more exposure you have, the more comfortable and confident you’ll feel. Working through a variety of cases helps you build the skills to break down complex problems, communicate clearly, and think on your feet.
At the same time, it’s important not to become overly rehearsed. Interviewers aren’t looking for perfect answers or memorized frameworks—they’re trying to understand how you approach problems, how you adapt, and how you collaborate.
The most effective case interviews feel like a conversation, not a performance. So while strong preparation is key, try to stay flexible and authentic!
What should candidates know?
Consulting is as much about working with people as it is about solving complex problems. Strong analytical skills are important, but so are communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
It’s also worth remembering that we’re not looking for a “perfect” candidate. We’re looking for individuals who are curious, driven, and open to learning. Authenticity goes a long way so be yourself! Show us how you think, how you collaborate, and what genuinely interests you.
