Mattias Geise is a member of Bain's Private Equity, Advanced Manufacturing & Services and Consumer Products practices, as well as an expert in Commercial Excellence and Bain's Commercial Accelerator toolkit.
He has more than 15 years of management consulting experience with Bain, helping business leaders in a variety of industries address their most critical management challenges.
Within private equity, Mattias has led an extensive number of commercial due diligence assignments, with particular emphasis on business services and commercial excellence levers to drive growth.
Mattias has additional experience working directly alongside portfolio companies and other clients in industries such as building materials, industrial distribution, financial services, consumer products, retail and education. His expertise spans management and sales issues including business unit strategy, customer strategy & marketing, mergers & acquisitions, blueprinting, performance improvement and pricing.
Mattias joined Bain in 2000 and is a founding member of the firm's New York office. He was previously a Fulbright Scholar in Sweden at the Stockholm Center for Organizational Research.
He holds a degree in government from Harvard College and a JD from Harvard Law School.
