Stephen York

Stephen York is the managing partner of Bain South Africa. He is also a member of Bain's Private Equity and M&A and Divestitures practices.

He has broad experience across corporate and business unit strategy development, performance improvement, customer experience strategy and organisational design. His industry work spans a number of sectors, focusing on Mining and Telecommunications.

Stephen’s most recent work has involved multiple commercial due diligence efforts across EMEA, redesigning the operating model for a large diamond mining company.

Apart from his case work, he supports local recruiting and leads the senior consultant class program in our Johannesburg office.

Prior to joining us, Stephen was a consultant for another top firm.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Science from the University of Cape Town.

Stephen enjoys reading, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
