Mario Conde

Mario Conde is a Senior Partner in Bain’s Financial Services practice and leads Bain's Customer capability for Financial Services in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He has worked with leading global and European banks, insurers, and distributors on their most important growth and transformation priorities.

His work spans corporate and business-unit strategy, customer growth strategy, marketing and sales, value proposition design, customer experience, and transformation. Mario helps leadership teams make the choices that matter most: where to play, how to win with priority customer segments, and how to translate strategy into sustained commercial impact.

Mario has particular experience helping retail banks, property and casualty insurers, and brokers to create winning customer-led businesses. He has supported leading financial institutions in strengthening propositions, improving acquisition and retention, redesigning distribution and service journeys, and increasing the productivity and effectiveness of marketing and sales organizations. A central part of Mario’s work is partnering with business and technology leaders to design and deliver the technology, data, and AI capabilities required to accelerate growth and improve customer experience at scale.

Before joining Bain in 2011, Mario worked in the automotive industry in Germany. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale and a master’s degree from INSEAD. In his personal time, Mario is an amateur musician and passionate guitar player. He is also a proud father of two children.
