WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

The Human Resource Senior Manager acts as an HR Business Partner to the Office Head(s) and Talent Partner for Mexico City and Monterrey offices. The HR Senior Manager is responsible for all activities across core functional areas of local Human Resources to ensure delivery of high-quality service and driving strategic local office programs related to talent of all business departments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Acts as HR Business Partner to Talent Partner in development of local office people strategy and implement tracking/feedback mechanisms to ensure performance against the plan
  • Partners effectively with local leadership team to
    • Deliver quality and relevant initiatives and programs including performance management, compensation, learning and development, global training, communication (office-wide, class-specific, individual), connectedness, promotion processes, and retention
    • Provide recommendations and support to ensure all local employee engagement initiatives are aligned with the broader America’s talent strategy
    • Oversees HR programs and activities including Onboarding, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, Feedback Systems, International Transfers, and Departure procedures
    • Implements global HR programs locally as well as designs specific local programs as necessary to align to broader firm programming
  • Ensuring the highest quality of HR processes, manages the daily operations of the HR department and create/adhere to reporting procedures and methods to measure success
  • Coach and develops a team of HR professionals
  • Manages annual operating budgets
  • Partners with Office Leadership to ensure all talent populations are integrated into the office and invited to meetings/trainings that are relevant for their role
    • Requires understanding all lines of business to continue to ensure leadership teams understand how these populations interact with all office teams
  • Takes leadership role in risk management and employee relations
    • Keeps abreast of existing/ changing employment laws, and works with Employee Risk Management (ERM) team to update all policies/practices as needed to stay compliant
    • Coaches, advises, educates, and trains management as necessary on employee and talent matters
    • Provides HR advice on tricky situations
    • Monitors policy decisions to ensure appropriate outcomes
    • Investigates, advises on and oversees appropriate follow-up for routine employee relations complaints; coordinates with senior leadership and ERM team on serious issues
    • Works with OH/Talent Partner and Business Operations team to ensure events are planned and executed consistent with our policies
    • Plays lead role in local Office Situational Response Team, advising on appropriate responses and liaising with regional teams as necessary
  • Responds to employee concerns
    • Acts as an ombudsman and “eyes and ears” of office or region (morale, culture, overall employee satisfaction)
  • Coordinates with regional HR Operations Center and Global Centers of Excellence to ensure proper administration of regional policies/processes
  • Actively participates as member of worldwide HR Leadership team
    • Participation in global and regional HR calls and meetings
    • Ad hoc project work and experience sharing as necessary
  • Performs special office, regional or global projects as require

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or Business-related discipline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources, typically gained through at least 7-10 years of progressive Human Resource Management experience
  • Experience in a professional services environment is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience acting as a trusted advisor to management regarding HR issues
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff
  • Detailed knowledge of local employment laws, as well as U.S. immigration laws preferred
  • Strong analytic capabilities
    • Ability to use data to generate insights and recommend actions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong process skills of follow up and follow through
  • Sound judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as an integral member of various teams
  • Ability to interact with employees (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism
  • This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 4 days per week.
