The Associate Consultant Trainee program staffs students on real cases for a span of a few months, working as members in our integrated teams of consultants and knowledge experts. They’ll be responsible for research, data, and analysis, as well as conducting consumer and market surveys that support delivering outstanding results to our clients.

What to expect from the ACT program
Sharpen your career by receiving consulting-related trainings, mock-interview sessions, 1:1 chat with Bain consultants.
Work on real, ongoing projects as junior members.
High-performing ACTs are given the benefits of reduced interview rounds during associate consultant interview process.
How to apply for this program
Students pursuing a degree regardless of major or grade level are eligible to participate. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 2-3 consecutive months to fully experience the program. To offer candidates a wider range of work timelines, applications are open three times a year in spring, summer, and winter.

I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree. Am I eligible to apply for the program?
Yes, graduates or students pursuing other degrees can all experience our Associate Consultant Trainee program.

When can I re-apply for the program if my previous application process was not successful?
You may re-apply for the Associate Consultant Trainee program anytime regardless of your results.
However, if you applied within the past year, you may experience a system error when submitting a new application. If this occurs, please contact Recruiting.Seoul@bain.com for assistance.

Can I apply to both the Associate Consultant Trainee program and the Associate Consultant role at the same time?
No, you may only apply for one position at a time. If you wish to apply to a different position, please let us know.

How does the ACT interview process work?
The ACT interview process consists of 2 rounds (30 minutes each) conducted via Zoom. The interviews include both fit and case questions and are conducted primarily in Korean.

How is the start date determined?
After receiving an offer, your start date will be discussed with you individually and finalized based on your availability and the schedule of the case project you will be assigned to.

Will my Associate Consultant Trainee application be reviewed by other offices if I set my 2nd and 3rd office preferences?
No, since the Associate Consultant Trainee program is only offered in the Seoul office, other offices will not be reviewing your application. If you are interested in internship opportunities from other offices, we recommend reaching out to the recruiting teams of the corresponding offices.
