Dry Powder: The Private Equity Podcast
The private equity industry has not only rebounded in the first half of 2021, it has hit record highs by just about every measure.
The data is even more remarkable when you take the decade-long view, because what we’ve seen this year is essentially a tripling in the industry’s size. We call it a “tripling,” because you can pick just about any measure, whether it’s deal value or the buildup of dry powder or exit value, and nearly every number is about three times larger than it was just 10 years ago.
Today, on the show, we’ll review this historic growth spurt for the industry, and we’ll consider which trends could continue into the back half of 2021 and beyond. It’s our Midyear Private Equity Report in brief.
