One of my favorite cases of all time was working with a retailer, trying to assess what the growth strategy of that portfolio company should be. We got to visit a lot of cool retail stores, assess what their products should look like, and look into the specifics such as colors and textures—things I had never been exposed to. I also worked with an art auction house, doing some financial services strategies—all exciting stuff. Now, I focus more on customer experience work. The impact that we're able to have on both the client and the customer, and how they engage with the company, is fantastic.
Through the Familia at Bain group, I get to interact with and learn from my peers both in the New York office and throughout all of Bain. I'm also involved with Women at Bain, where we focus on topics such as overcoming barriers, leveraging each of our experiences to make this job sustainable, and having a successful career, both at Bain and beyond Bain.
