Julien Vermersch

Julien Vermersch is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources, Strategy and Transformation practices. He brings close to 20 years of experience advising C-level executives. 

Since joining the firm in 2007, he has held positions in a number of the firm’s offices, including Paris, Sydney, New Delhi and Johannesburg. He has been based in Dubai since September 2022, serving oil & gas, chemicals and utilities clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. 

Julien primarily advises corporates through their transformation journey, helping them unlock their business's full potential value. These are often multi-year engagements that span strategy, operating model, and broad performance improvement topics. Julien typically supports executive teams from design to execution, guiding them to drive sustainable change to the frontline.

Julien is passionate about helping his clients adapt to an increasingly volatile and dynamic business environment, leverage digital and new technologies to deliver value and reinvent their operations and business models for a more sustainable future.

As such, much of his recent client work and IP development efforts have focused on deepening the firm’s expertise in low-carbon energy businesses and thinking through how energy businesses can most effectively navigate the uncertainties of energy and carbon transitions, embedding the concept of “Living Strategy” into the fabric of the organization. 

Julien holds a master's degree in engineering from Ecole des Mines in Paris.
