Patrick Akl is an active leader in the firm's Energy & Natural Resources practice and a member of our Chemicals practice.
Patrick is currently based in the Dubai, UAE office and has previously worked in the Dallas, TX office. Patrick has led projects for private and public sector clients in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe across a variety of sectors including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, Financial Investors, and Real Estate Development.
Patrick has expertise in strategy and operating model development, sustainability and energy efficiency, feasibility studies, performance improvement, and M&A.
Prior to joining Bain & Company, Patrick worked as a senior engineer for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a global semiconductor company based in North America, where he contributed to the development of microprocessor chips for the server and personal computer markets.
Patrick holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Toronto, and a bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering from the American University of Beirut.
