You’ll join FRWD, Bain & Company’s marketing acceleration capability and an expert community within our Marketing Excellence practice. FRWD brings together a community of marketing practitioners who partner with clients and their agencies to solve complex marketing challenges, drive meaningful business results and support transformation.

FRWD’s work spans areas such as marketing diagnostics, marketing acceleration, e-commerce acceleration, operating model design and due diligence. The team focuses on practical, actionable insights rooted in real marketplace expertise, helping clients understand not only what to do and why, but also how to make change happen.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a FRWD Expert Consultant, you’ll be a seasoned marketing practitioner and emerging expert who drives key workstreams within integrated Bain casework. You’ll work closely with client teams, generalist Bain consultants and cross-functional peers across the Bain ecosystem.

You’ll bring in-platform experience, data and analysis to generate insights, contribute to case results and help clients understand how your workstream connects to the broader marketing strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this role, you will:

  • Drive key case workstreams with support from the leadership team, delivering results that meet client expectations and build client promoters 
  • Partner with generalist Bain consultants in blended team environments, bringing together the best of multiple skillsets and areas of expertise 
  • Apply your experience as a seasoned marketing practitioner in one or more areas of expertise, such as industries, channels, platforms or products 
  • Lead a wide range of analyses and consistently deliver insightful, high-quality outputs and materials 
  • Use in-platform proficiency across areas such as digital advertising or e-commerce to gather data, generate insights and develop testing plans 
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with teams and clients to share insights and maintain alignment on workplans 
  • Contribute to day-to-day case team leadership with a consistently positive, at-cause attitude 
  • Actively seek out and act on feedback from teams, peers and business leaders 
  • Share expertise and best practices with team members across the FRWD ecosystem 
  • Mentor and guide more junior members of case teams 
  • Contribute to FRWD strategy and operations, including internal initiatives and support for recruiting and hiring 

ABOUT YOU

You are a collaborative, commercially minded marketing practitioner with deep hands-on experience and the ability to translate data, platform knowledge and marketplace expertise into practical recommendations for clients. You are comfortable working in integrated teams, solving ambiguous problems and communicating clearly with both clients and colleagues.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate or advanced degrees welcome but not required 
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in marketing roles, such as at a leading agency, brand, in-house marketing team or technology platform 
  • Clear leadership experience and a consistent professional trajectory 
  • Experience contributing to high-performing, cross-functional and integrated teams 
  • Ability to solve tough problems effectively and efficiently by breaking them into pieces and using a hypothesis-driven approach 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in specific marketing domains, recognized by peers and leaders 
  • Strong expertise in the digital media landscape, including media partners, products and industry best practices 
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work across teams 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Positive, at-cause attitude 
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed 

Preferred experience includes deeper expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Media planning and buying 
  • Measurement and analytics 
  • Marketing technology 
  • Brand strategy 
  • E-commerce 

Relevant certifications are also welcome, including Facebook Blueprint, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, The Trade Desk Trading Academy or Adobe certifications.
