Creative Services, part of Bain’s Global Business Services organization, is a group of expert designers that
transforms complex ideas into powerful visual communications. Our team supports internal stakeholders
and client teams around the world with high-impact presentation design, storytelling, and data visualization.
We collaborate closely with business leaders, content owners, and other designers to deliver work that
drives clarity, insight, and engagement.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Design Manager, your role will require you to work closely with client teams and business partners, using your design expertise and insights to develop high quality design solutions that effectively communicate the client's message and objectives. You are a subject matter expert who can manage your own work by developing workplans to accomplish priorities while transforming high level goals into actionable pieces of work. In this role, you will manage a team of designers and be expected to provide guidance and direction to help
them understand and deliver on the client's requirements and expectations. You will be responsible for fostering the professional growth of your team, providing feedback and coaching to help them develop their skills and advance their careers. Your leadership and management skills will be critical in building a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Expert integrated designer, setting clear expectations with client teams, business partners and design teams on scope, resources, time, budget. Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of one's own work and team's work, supporting team on prioritized key tasks and effectively meeting evolving business objectives.
• Act as design and project lead on enhanced client experience projects and oversee the work of designers on the team to ensure project objectives are met.
• Thought partner for client teams and business partners to transform insights and ideas into clear, engaging, world-class visual communications
• Manage and mentor a team of designers to deliver design solutions for Bain client teams and business partners, advise team and stakeholders on protect and work, effectively explain strategic implications.
• Track team performance, including adherence to Creative Services KPIs, service levels, Bain Operating Principles. Independently analyze information to distill key insights and make recommendations for improvement
• Encourage effective team collaboration to achieve team priorities by continuously sharing learnings and best practices with all team members. Add value to the department by acting as advisor for important issues and initiatives.
• Coach and guide individual performance and growth through timely feedback, project debriefs, and regular professional development check-ins. Role model behavior that promotes wellbeing in others, sharing knowledge and expertise across team members.
• Lead and execute design projects, oversee and manage customer expectations, and define project objectives/goals clearly
• Deliver and hold the team accountable to design work that demonstrates a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small
• Anticipate, develop, and communicate desired outcomes to team and relevant stakeholders, break high-level goals into actions, and guide designers in achieving their assigned work through use of team collaboration tools and timely feedback
• Ability to lead and empower multiple design teams to deliver on-time projects and results with a customer-centric mindset
• Own individual work and lead collaborative design projects across a designer team to deliver high-quality results, taking time to mentor more junior designers in areas of professional development.
ABOUT YOU
• Demonstrated track record as a designer within a corporate environment and supported by a diverse portfolio that encompasses business presentations and visual communications designed for both print and digital mediums, with a focus on data analysis and compelling storytelling.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week with limited travel as needed.
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
In Dallas, Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between ($90,500 - $108,500).
Placement within each range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, certifications, training, and skill level.

- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
