How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

Bain's culture was strikingly differentiated during recruitment. Bainies ran practice cases with me and hopped on impromptu calls, helping me prepare for recruitment before I even received an offer to interview. They also had a consistent message - that they do hard work, but they truly enjoy the teams they work with. That message was what sold me on Bain.

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

You hear in recruiting that Bain does 'front of the newspaper,' revolutionary work for our clients - it feels hyperbolic, but it's accurate. Several of my cases have resulted in our clients' strategic shifts gaining positive media attention, and I've seen the improvements our solutions kickstart for our clients.

For me, the most exciting part of this job is the relationships we develop with clients as we work with them. For example, on a case last year, our team got a note from our main client relationship ~6 months after our case wrapped, recapping the progress his team had made in reorienting their sales approach to be more customer-centric and thanking us for our hard work. Hearing that you've made an impact like that is incredibly encouraging.

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

I worked on a pricing strategy case for an Advanced Manufacturing client where we helped their sales and product teams size the holistic value they deliver to end customers to develop a data-driven pricing model. The work culminated in a week of workshops at their site in the Netherlands with our whole case team - the work was incredibly impactful, and our team had a great time meeting the EU clients in person for a week.
