How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

When I was deciding where I wanted to work, my decision truly came down to the people I would work with and the support I would have both professionally and personally at work. I really felt at home with the people at Bain and have always said that I love how the people at Bain take the work very seriously, but do not take themselves too seriously. We drive great results for our clients and have fun along the way - that is the culture I wanted to be a part of and have found at Bain. This also translates to an incredible investment that Bain makes in the development of our people, which I have felt first hand since I joined full time in 2017.

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

One of the things I love most about the job is that I get to have an incredibly diverse set of experiences, exploring new topics and working on our client's biggest challenges. I've helped design a grid modernization program for a large utility company, re-design the menu strategy for a major fast food player, rethink store ops and field support at a large retailer, and many others. Each case gives me the opportunity to develop new skills, capabilities, and knowledge.

What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?

I would tell a candidate interested in consulting to really do their research, learning more about each of the different firms, attending info sessions, asking good questions, and reaching out to friends / alumni from their respective schools to learn more. Given that consulting is such a collaborative career, understanding the culture, priorities, and working styles of each firm will help steer each candidate to the place that is right for them.
