Jim Horrigan is a member of our Performance Improvement practice.

With more than 30 years of procurement, sourcing, and operational improvement experience, Jim helps global organizations unlock value through strategic cost transformation, supply chain optimization, and operating model enhancements.

He has led numerous procurement and operational improvement engagements focused on strategic sourcing, pre- and post-merger integration, should-cost and value analysis, category management, procurement operating models, sustainable procurement, and make-versus-buy optimization. He brings deep expertise in supplier economics, total cost of ownership analysis, and global supply market dynamics, helping clients make informed sourcing and investment decisions.

Prior to joining Bain, Jim held leadership roles at three consulting organizations, including a boutique supply chain consultancy, a private equity-owned advisory firm where he drove value creation across portfolio companies and external clients, and a Big Four professional services firm.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Business Administration. He also maintains professional certifications in procurement and supply chain management, including Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from ASCM. In addition, he completed the Sustainability in Action training program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
