Since joining Bain in 2009, Marcos has honed deep experience across a variety of industries, including agribusiness, pulp & paper, metals & mining, cement and ready-mix concrete, consumer goods, retail, financial services, private equity, telecommunications and the social & public sector.
His agribusiness expertise focuses on corn, corn products, soy, sugarcane, dairy, poultry and meat, and he is also deeply versed in the food and beverage sector. His additional retail experise encompasses apparel and door-to-door.
In the metals & mining sphere, Marcos specializes in coal and gold.
Throughout his tenure at Bain, he has led a series of engagements on corporate and business unit strategy, business full potential transformation, core redefinition, fundraising strategy, due diligence, post-merger integration, cost transformation, operational improvement and organization redesign.
He has additionally conducted projects across numerous regions, including Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Australia and Japan.
Prior to joining Bain, Marcos worked as a finance department manager at a multinational consumer goods corporation for five years.
He holds a master's degree in finance from London Business School (UK) and an undergraduate degree in computer engineering from ITA (Brazil).
He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
