Qeelin, the Chinese fine jewellery brand, is making its first foray into the North American market and plans to launch in stores at the end of the year. Some of Qeelin's US business is likely to come from tourist spending, a factor that has become increasingly relevant in the luxury sector. In May, Bain & Company reported that 50% of all luxury spending globally is made by tourists, many of whom are from China.
