A new survey by Bain & Company found that American consumers have similar preferences to British, Chinese and Australian consumers on the types of services they want from life insurers.

Icing on the cake: Life-insurance policies with perks make it to America

Insurance companies are adapting to the ever-changing needs and wants of American customers by adding services to their traditional offerings. Consumers are increasingly expecting higher levels of service from insurerer, similar to those that are offered in international markets. 

For example, a new survey by Bain & Company found that American consumers have similar preferences to  British, Chinese and Australian consumers on the types of services they want from life insurers. These range from financial planning consultations to in-home monitoring services for elderly customers.
