Bain & Company has appointed a new Partner who will be joining the international management consulting firm on 1 January 2018. With Dr. Joachim von Hoyningen-Huene, the company has gained a chemicals and M&A expert with international experience. He will lead and develop the chemicals consulting business within the Industry Practice Group in German-speaking countries.
"With Joachim von Hoyningen-Huene joining the team, we have significantly strengthened our chemicals business and are now also one of the leading management consultants in the chemicals sector", says Walter Sinn, Head of Bain Germany. "We remain committed to invest in this industry and will expand our consultant team here at all levels." The chemicals industry is currently undergoing a radical transformation. "Mega deals are transforming value chains with unprecedented momentum and the effects of digitalization will not only change the way we interact with customers but will create entirely new business models", adds Joachim von Hoyningen-Huene.
Joachim von Hoyningen-Huene has been working as a consultant for more than 15 years and was last employed as a partner with global responsibility for leading chemical companies. At Bain the 45-year old consultant will serve his clients from the Munich office – mainly in the fields of transformation, restructuring, private equity and mergers & acquisitions. The graduate in business administration studied at the University of Mannheim and also gained a Master of International Business at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
