WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You’ll join the PEGAR Execution Team, a part of the Private Equity Group Innovation team that supports our Private Equity (PE) Practice. The role reports into Senior Manager, in the Americas PE Innovation Team, and collaborates closely with Director, PE Innovation on a regular basis.
The PEGAR execution team is a part of PE Innovation team. The team’s mission is to provide accelerated insights and cutting-edge analyses on case work for our Private Equity teams, using digital and alternative data/AI enabled tools.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role is focused on accelerating client results through the execution of high value and cutting-edge analyses supporting our PE due diligence and post-acquisition casework. This will involve working with a wide range of GenAI tools, resources as well as digital/next gen/ alternative data sources, leading high impact analysis leveraging focused models and developing custom analytical approaches. The individual will establish subject matter expertise on a range of data sources and analytical modules, advising and problem solving with Bain consulting teams on the right data and tools across private equity use cases.
You will interface with PE case teams and work with PE innovation team to deliver client-ready analysis on active client casework and to capture and codify learnings to develop our IP portfolio. The individual will lead workstreams on various due diligence and post acquisition work across various sectors (E.g. Tech, Retail / CP, Healthcare, etc.), working on one to three active cases at any given time.
Essential Functions
Lead digital/alternative data/GenAI enabled analysis on active casework (45%)
- Work on innovation enabled workstreams for our private equity teams, building insights using digital tools, alternative data and GenAI/automation assisted resources and tools
- Work with case teams to understand scope of case and provide guidance on appropriate plug-ins
- Lead and own analyses using a range of data tools (e.g. Powerpoint slide creation, Excel models, Alteryx, Tableau output, etc.), generating output to clearly communicate insights
Communicate insights to Private Equity teams (40%)
- Communicate output of analysis to case team and leadership during live diligence/post acquisition casework, highlighting key takeaways
- Answer case team questions related to nuances of analytics conducted or underlying data sources used
Develop products/Intellectual Capital for Bain (10%)
- Provide inputs on product development (working with the core PE Innovation teams on a regular basis
- Build analytical modules (including data analysis models and visual output) to be deployed on future casework
- Engage with Bain Private Equity Innovation stakeholders (e.g., Consultants, Directors, Senior managers/managers, Expert Partners, COEs, etc.) to collect input on high value analyses to be codified
Lead awareness and adoption efforts (5%)
- Develop and lead content training sessions to drive awareness and adoption of Private Equity Innovation resources
- Create and circulate collateral to promote latest Intellectual property and offerings
ABOUT YOU
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of professional experience in a business analyst/associate consultant or related role, preferably with a professional services / strategy consulting firm
- Experience conducting analysis using a range of data sources and generating visual output to clearly communicate insights
- High degree of proficiency conducting data analysis using Excel, Power Point or related tools (Tableau and Alteryx is preferred, but not a requirement)
- Strong business acumen, with ability to quickly understand key questions and propose potential data-based solutions
- Ability to communicate insights in a clear and well-structured manner
- Interest in developing advanced analytics skills, learning new digital / data tools, Generative AI based solutions, etc.
- Attentive to detail and very organized
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Data Analytics or related field
- Experience working with alternative data/digital sources and GenAI enabled tools
- Experience developing or deploying automation solutions leveraging big data
- Experience with advanced data query and analytical tools or programming languages, e.g.: SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Basic understanding of AI/GenAI/LLMs and related tools
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week.
In Atlanta, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $84,250 - $101,250
In Dallas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $88,500- $106,250
